How the program can help you

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at North Mississippi Health Services hospitals in Amory, Eupora, Iuka, Tupelo and West Point, Mississippi, and Hamilton, Alabama. The program works to improve quality of life for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including: emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, lung transplant, pulmonary fibrosis and other types of COPD. The program focuses on muscle strengthening by incorporating:

  • Treadmill

  • Ergometer

  • Stationary bicycle

  • Stairstepper

  • Free weights

  • Nutritional and medication teaching

  • Family education
