Outpatient Infusion Services Close to Home
If your doctor IV or infusion therapy, we can help you get the care you need. Outpatient infusion services are offered on all seven NMHS campuses around the region and Cancer Care clinics.
Some illnesses and medical conditions cannot be treated with oral medicines. IV or infusion therapy is giving medication through an IV. An IV uses a sterile catheter inserted into a vein and secured. Among the serious medical conditions that can be treated by IV medications are:
Serious & chronic infections
Cancer & pain related to cancer
Gastrointestinal or digestive tract conditions
Dehydration caused by nausea, vomiting & diarrhea
Osteoporosis
Anemia
A number of medications and treatments can be delivered by infusion therapy:
