Your body’s immune system helps keep your health in balance and protect you from disease. If something triggers an unexpected reaction, rely on our allergy and immunology specialists.

Symptoms

When your immune system reacts to something in the environment, you may experience allergic symptoms. Mild seasonal allergies often can be treated with over-the-counter medications, but for more serious or recurring issues, seek medical attention.

  • Allergies caused by a reaction to a substance like pet dander, pollen or mold

  • Asthma caused by chronic inflammation of airways (wheezing, shortness of breath)

  • Hives (urticaria) can present as red, itchy, swollen areas of skin
