TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Medical Center’s Wound Center and Hyperbarics in Tupelo has earned the President’s Circle Award, Healogics highest honor recognizing Wound Care Centers® that demonstrate exceptional performance in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and operational excellence.

The President’s Circle Award is presented annually to a select group of Wound Care Centers that achieve sustained, top-tier performance across key quality measures, reflecting a continued commitment to patient-centered care and healing excellence. NMMC is one of only two centers in Mississippi and 35 nationwide to receive this year’s President’s Circle award.

“Our team of clinicians, nurses and support staff are incomparable in their commitment to changing lives by healing wounds,” said Dr. Dwight McComb, medical director of NMMC Wound Center and Hyperbarics. “It’s great to see their impact being reflected in this prestigious award.”

Within the Healogics network of more than 600 Wound Care Centers, NMMC Wound Center and Hyperbarics was also recognized as a Center of Distinction and Center of Excellence.

“This accomplishment reflects the dedication and talent of an exceptional team,” said Janet Lancaster, director of NMMC Wound Center and Hyperbarics. “I’ve never had the privilege of working with a group that demonstrates such compassion, empathy and genuine care.”

NMMC Wound Center and Hyperbarics offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.

Advanced treatments include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. The center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100% percent oxygen to help accelerate wound healing.

“I would confidently recommend this team to my own family and friends—and have done so many times,” Lancaster said. “I’m incredibly proud to be part of such a dedicated group of professionals.”
