Ophthalmologist Now Performs Eye Surgery at Hamilton Hospital
HAMILTON, Alabama—Ophthalmologist Ashley Pickering, M.D., is now performing eye surgery at North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton.
Dr. Pickering treats eye diseases and disorders including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, macular degeneration, trauma, diabetic retinopathy and more. She will perform cataract surgery, minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery and eyelid surgery at the Hamilton hospital.
Dr. Pickering practices at Tupelo Eye Center and is on the medical staff at NMMC in Tupelo and Hamilton. She earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Mississippi State University in Starkville in 2014 and her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson in 2018. She completed residency training in ophthalmology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
She is a Belmont, Mississippi, native and married to Tyler Pickering, a native of Red Bay.
