NMMC Cancer Care Welcomes Russell Roberts, MD
TUPELO, Mississippi – North Mississippi Medical Center Cancer Care is proud to announce that Russell Roberts, MD, is joining NMMC Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Roberts is a 2009 graduate of Clarkdale High School. After graduation, he attended Mississippi State University for his undergraduate degree. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Roberts says he loves medicine and chose it because, “it gives me the opportunity to use my gifts to minister to a variety of people during some of the most difficult days of their lives.” He is excited to bring his medical expertise to Tupelo where he says he will “deliver high-quality cancer care to those in the surrounding community.”
Dr. Roberts’ hobbies include taking part in missions work and anything outdoors. “My faith and family are my two greatest passions,” he says. “When not working, I enjoy pouring myself into a variety of ministries through my local church and non-profit organizations. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons. We stay active and are usually outdoors doing some activity. I am also an avid reader and fan of college sports.”
