About Me
Smith received her associate degree in nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College and her master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University. She is a board-certified commercial medical examiner and a board-certified nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau honor society and the Mississippi Nurses Association.
She says she chose her career because she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. “I enjoy caring for others,” she says. “I feel that being a family nurse practitioner is a calling from God and this is my mission field. It is challenging, interesting and rewarding taking care of a variety of patients with different illnesses and varying age groups.”
Her hobbies include going to the beach, spending time with family and helping with church activities. She also enjoys watching Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.
