About Me
Dr. Etienne Schönbach specializes in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery, complex cataract surgery and uveitis. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University. He completed retina fellowships at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University, and the Shiley Eye Institute at the University of California, San Diego.

- age-related macular degeneration
- diabetic retinopathy
- retinal vein and artery occlusions
- macular edema (swelling of the retina)
- central serous chorioretinopathy
- sickle cell retinopathy
- retinal disease from extreme nearsightedness
- eye trauma
- retinal detachments including complex and recurrent retinal detachments
- lattice degeneration
- epiretinal membranes (macular pucker)
- macular holes
- vitreomacular traction syndrome
- cataracts and complications after cataract surgery
- ocular inflammation including uveitis
- retinopathy of prematurity (ROP)
