Biography
Dr. Warren received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Mississippi. She completed her medical training at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo., and her family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee in Jackson, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Warren chose health care at an early age when a physician came to speak to her class at school. “He allowed interested students to listen to their own hearts with his stethoscope,” she says. “I was fascinated by the ability to hear a sound produced from deep inside my body. This sparked my interest in physiology and led me down my path to become a physician. I chose family medicine as a career because it is a profession dedicated to comprehensive and personalized care in a community setting.” Dr. Warren says she chose Pontotoc Medical Clinic to be able to practice medicine in her hometown. “This has allowed me to get to know my patients over time and share in their trust, respect and friendship,” she said. “The thrill of family practice, to me, is the close bond that develops with my patients over time.”
