Biography
William L. “Bill” Rice, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with North Mississippi Medical Center. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Millsaps College in Jackson in 1980 and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville in 1984. Dr. Rice completed residency training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison in 1989. He completed a fellowship with the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham.
Dr. Rice returned to his returned to hometown of Tupelo in 1996 in private practice and joined NMMC’s Orthopaedic Trauma program in 2016. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
