Biography
Holly Poland, CFNP, says she chose this career because she has a passion for helping others, promoting well-being and making a positive impact on people's lives.
“I enjoy providing compassionate care to my patients. I get satisfaction out of seeing patients improve within their daily lives—most of the time it is simple tasks that we may take for granted such as cooking their own meal or spending time with their grandchildren,” Holly says. “When they come back the next month thanking me for giving them their quality of life back, then I know I am doing my job.”
“Pain management is so much more than a ‘pill regimen,’” Holly says. “Most importantly I strive to help my patients have a positive mindset and outlook, which also helps improve their pain.”
Holly earned an associate degree in nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2010 and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2013. She completed a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Alabama in 2017 and is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Additionally, Holly is certified in Basic Life Support and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and the American Nurses Association.
Holly enjoys spending family time with her husband, teenager and toddler—especially outdoors. Her favorite self-care indulgence is going to the nail salon.
