Biography
“I am thankful that I have the opportunity to make life easier for my patients by increasing their independence and ability to stay active,” says Amanda Hulsey, FNP-C. “I love to hear stories from excited patients about being able to spend the day with their adult children shopping, gardening, playing with their grandchildren or even being able to continue working because their pain is manageable.”
Amanda completed training to become a licensed practical nurse at Bevill State Community College in Hamilton, Alabama, in 2012, and earned her associate degree in nursing from Bevill State in 2015. She completed a master’s degree in nursing at the University of North Alabama in Florence in 2020 and the Advanced Practice Clinician Fellowship program at North Mississippi Medical Center in April 2023.
“Health care provides a platform to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of my patients,” Amanda says. “I enjoy being part of a team that prioritizes patient-centered care and maintains high standards. Working in health care gives me the chance to make a difference by providing care and services to help them lead a happier life.”
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family. “I spend most of my time watching my children do their favorite activities, which include track, volleyball, cheer, football and soccer. I enjoy yoga, thrifting and estate sales. When I have time, I love to read mystery books or listen to true crime podcasts. When it is warm, my children and I like to hike together and see where nature takes us.”
