Biography
Dr. Brent Boyett earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biology in 1989 from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1994 and was in private dental practice until 2017.
Dr. Boyett completed his medical degree at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City Missouri, in 1998. He completed residency training at North Mississippi Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency Program in 2001.
It was Dr. Brent Boyett’s interest in science and problem-solving that motivated him to pursue a career in medicine.
He is board certified in family medicine and addiction medicine, as well as preventive medicine and dental anesthesiology. He is recognized as a Distinguished Fellow by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Boyett joined North Mississippi Regional Pain Consultants in 2021. He specializes in medication-assisted addiction recovery and high-risk populations, including pregnant women.
Outside of work, Dr. Boyett enjoys working on his farm.
