NMHS Announces Community Hospital Leadership Updates
TUPELO, Miss. – North Mississippi Health Services (NMHS) announced leadership updates across several of its hospitals that will strengthen collaboration, enhance continuity of care and support long-term success in the communities they serve. The changes are effective March 30, 2026.
“Strong local leadership is essential to delivering high-quality care close to home,” said David Wilson, chief operating officer for North Mississippi Health Services. “These leadership updates build on trusted relationships, strengthen collaboration across our hospitals and ensure our teams are well positioned to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve.”

Under the new structure, Cathy Mitchell will oversee both hospitals in Marion County, Alabama: North Mississippi Health Services–South Marion and North Mississippi Medical Center–Hamilton.
Robin Mixon will transition from her current oversight of the North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton to North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc and continue in her role at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.
Jamie Rodgers will continue leading NMMC Gilmore–Amory while partnering with Mitchell to support hospitals across both the Mississippi and Alabama markets. As part of this transition, Mixon will assume leadership responsibilities at NMMC–Pontotoc as Rodgers steps away from that role.

The Marion County and Amory facilities share a long-standing connection, with teams and services that have collaborated for decades to deliver high-quality care.
Strengthening alignment across these hospitals supports NMHS’s commitment to meeting community needs while positioning facilities for shared success. This approach builds on the successful leadership partnership between Mitchell and Rodgers, who previously served together at NMMC Gilmore–Amory.
In her expanded role, Mitchell will provide leadership for both North Mississippi Health Services–South Marion and North Mississippi Medical Center–Hamilton. A Marion County native, she brings a deep personal connection to these communities and will work closely with Rodgers to support unified operations, access and growth across the region.

Rodgers’ leadership at NMMC Gilmore–Amory and NMMC–Pontotoc has been marked by strategic vision and strong operational focus. His continued partnership will support leadership development and alignment across hospitals.
Mixon has a wealth of expertise and passion for community health that she will continue to share at NMMC-Eupora and bring to NMMC–Pontotoc. She will support the Hamilton team during the transition to Mitchell’s leadership.
These leadership updates reflect NMHS’s ongoing commitment to strong local leadership, collaboration and excellent patient care.
