TUPELO, Miss.—Children’s Clinic-Tupelo welcomes pediatrician Nicole Carden, MD, to their team.

A 2004 graduate of South Panola High School, Dr. Carden graduated from Delta State University in 2008. She earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson in 2014 and completed her residency in pediatrics in 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Since 2018, she has worked as a pediatrician with Hattiesburg Clinic and Children’s Clinic in Petal. In addition, she served as chair of the pediatric department at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg from 2022-2024.

“I chose a career in medicine because I’ve always been interested in how the human body works and driven by a commitment to serving others,” Dr. Carden said.

She chose pediatrics for the patients. “There is something truly inspiring about a child’s resilience and honesty,” she added. “I consider it an honor to partner with families, helping their children to grow into healthy and happy adults.”

Outside of work, she enjoys all sorts of crafting, spending time with family and friends and traveling.

Dr. Carden is excited to move closer to family, which includes her mother, sister, brother-in-law and several “fur-babies.”
Children’s Clinic is a partnership between North Mississippi Medical Center and Children’s of Mississippi.

Dr. Carden joins pediatricians Dr. Jennifer Grisham, Dr. Meghan Luter, Dr. Charles Meeks, Dr. Katie Meyer, Dr. Amy Price, Dr. Eric Street and Dr. Veronica Valdez, and nurse practitioners Treny Emison, JodiLyn Ferguson, Rebakah Huey, Tina King, Lauren Parrish and Danielle Woodruff.
