TUPELO, Miss.—North Mississippi Neurosurgical Services recently welcomed Devin Fancher, FNP-C, DNP, to the neurosurgery care team.

Fancher works with neurosurgeons and other nurse practitioners as part of a team that cares for patients with brain, spinal cord and nerve disorders.

A Belmont native. Fancher earned an associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College in 2012. She completed her master's degree in nursing and nurse practitioner training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing in 2015.

She received her doctorate in nursing practice from Samford University in 2019.

Fancher finds her chosen career extremely fulfilling. “It is one thing to see people who are feeling great and help them continue feeling great,” she said. “But seeing someone who is hurting and not feeling like the best version of themselves and being able to help them return to their prior level of functioning or help reduce their pain is truly rewarding.”

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
