CALHOUN CITY, Mississippi – North Mississippi Medical Clinics recently named Alaina Collins, CLPN, as the Star of the Month.

Alaina joined North Mississippi Health Services in 2016 as a licensed practical nurse at Calhoun County Medical Clinic.

“Her main duty is nursing, but she also fills in and helps anywhere else she is needed without others asking her to help,” one of her coworkers wrote in nominating her. “She is a great team player and always goes above and beyond her job description.”

Another coworker wrote about an elderly patient Alaina walked to his car from the clinic. When the patient told Alaina he needed an item from the store but was unable to manage walking through the store, she went above and beyond by going into the store and getting what the patient needed.

Alaina is a graduate of Bruce High School and Northwest Mississippi Community College. She and her husband, James, have two children and they attend First Baptist in Bruce where she assists with the children’s department. She is very involved in her church and with her children.
