Max Hoffmann recently expressed appreciation to the North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton team for taking extraordinary care of him during a recent scare. Max went to the hospital’s Emergency Room the morning of April 22 after experiencing chest pain at home.

“Upon arrival, the entire staff was extremely compassionate, worked quickly and showed a true level of professionalism that put me at ease,” he says. “I knew that I was in good hands and was going to receive the best possible care.”

Max says Dr. Francis Falbo was calm, collected and direct in giving instruction to him and the staff. “He continuously kept my family and me informed of options and potential risks involved when making decisions on my course of treatment,” he says. “Dr. Falbo’s confidence and demeanor were what kept me calm and collected throughout my ordeal.”

Max praises registered nurses Maria Cornelius and Cynthia Presley as “absolutely professional and knowledgeable,” and says EKG technician James Johnson and admissions specialist Annea Sims were also instrumental in his excellent care.

Once Max was stable, he was transferred to NMMC-Tupelo for more advanced care. “Although I only spent approximately three hours with the team in Hamilton before being transferred to Tupelo, the care and treatment I received far exceeded any other facility or staff that I have encountered in the past,” he says. “I hope that anyone who has any health issue is as lucky as I was to have such a caring team.”

“My family and I will forever be thankful for our small town hospital and for the dedicated and knowledgeable staff that was working that morning,” he adds. “Thank you for treating me as a human and for saving my life.”

Thank you, Max, for entrusting us with your care at both our Hamilton and Tupelo hospitals, Best wishes for good health in the years to come.
