BELMONT, Mississippi – North Mississippi Medical Clinics is proud to announce that Nathaniel T. Sparks, M.D., is returning home to join Belmont Family Medical Clinic.

Dr. Sparks is a 2012 graduate of Belmont High School. After graduation, he attended Mississippi State University for his undergraduate degree. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2020 and completed his residency at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Dr. Sparks is excited to bring his medical expertise home to Belmont where he says he and his family are looking forward to “contributing to and continuing to build the community that afforded us invaluable opportunities.”

Dr. Sparks has an extensive personal history with health care that guided his interest in medicine.

“Having been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 11 months old, I quickly became well-acquainted with the health care system. Through my multiple other medical conditions diagnosed during adolescence, I soon realized that I was destined for a career in medicine," Dr. Sparks said. "I encountered multiple physicians during my journey through medicine that helped mold me into the person that I am today. I am grateful for the impact that these physicians had on my life and hope to positively impact my patients' lives in a similar manner.”

Dr. Sparks and his wife, Karson, are expecting their first child this summer. They enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their dogs; hunting; landscaping; and woodworking.
