POTTS CAMP, Mississippi—The Potts Camp Middle School Lady Cardinals volleyball team recently donated several pre-packaged food baskets and $200 for additional items to the Hope Food Pantry at North Mississippi Medical Center Cancer Care. Buying groceries can be difficult for a patient fighting cancer, especially because of the financial burdens caused by cancer treatment. It can be more difficult when diet is limited because of treatment or side effects. If you’d like to make a difference to local cancer patients, we welcome any nonperishable food items that are “in date” (not expired). Please drop off donations at NMMC Cancer Care locations—961 S. Gloster or 990 S. Madison in Tupelo or 1205 Hwy. 182 West in Starkville. Monetary donations are also welcome; please make checks payable to Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi and note that the donation is for Hope Food Pantry. For more information, call (662) 377-2269 or 1-800-THE DESK (1-800-843-3375).
