TUPELO, Mississippi – North Mississippi Medical Center is proud to welcome a new chief nurse executive, Angie Lambert, BSN, MBA, to the Tupelo hospital.

Lambert comes to NMMC from San Antonio, where she served as Chief Nursing Officer at Santa Rosa Hospital, a Level 4 Trauma Center and affiliate of the CHRISTUS Health System.

“Angie has a proven success record of commitment to excellence in patient care and nursing care delivery, as evidenced by working with physicians, community leaders and patients,” said T.J. Adams, administrator and vice president, Cardiovascular and Surgical Services, NMMC-Tupelo. “We are excited to welcome Angie to our team!”

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Lambert earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi College in Clinton before moving to Florida. Lambert earned her master’s degree in business administration from NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She began her health care leadership journey in 1990 at HCA-affiliated Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Meyers as the Director of Clinical Support Services. She then transitioned into the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services role and her career quickly blossomed.

For the past two decades, Lambert has served as the Chief Nursing Officer for hospitals and health care systems across the South, emphasizing the importance of constant communication across the continuum of care.

 “My journey with patient- and family-centered care began in 2001,” Lambert said. “Over the years I have witnessed improvement in quality, safety and delivery of health care when the expertise of health care providers is partnered with the experience of patients and families. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with NMHS as we continue the journey of being the provider of the best patient- and family-centered care in America.”
