BALDWYN, Mississippi—The staff of Baldwyn Nursing Facility recently selected Lauren Brumley, RN, as the most recent Star of the Month.

Brumley joined the Baldwyn Nursing Facility Staff in 2019 as a Certified Licensed Practical Nurse (CLPN). She graduated from Jumpertown High School in 2014 and completed her CLPN training at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville in 2017. She earned her associate degree in nursing from NEMCC in 2021. She now serves as the lead charge nurse.

“I love my job, and serving as a charge nurse allows me to really see every aspect of nursing,” Brumley said. “I get to be hands-on with patient care, but I also get to learn about the office side of nursing and what that entails.”

Brumley said her favorite part of working at Baldwyn Nursing Facility is the family atmosphere. “It is so welcoming,” she said. “We really are like a big family here. We look out for each other in any way possible, and the residents are amazing.”

Brumley lives in Booneville with her 3-year-old son, Bash. She enjoys traveling and recently returned from a trip to Gatlinburg for her son’s birthday. When not working, she and Bash enjoy doing yard work and playing with their dog, Daisy.
