North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora has awarded $1,000 college scholarships to two recent graduates.EUPORA, Mississippi—North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora has awarded $1,000 college scholarships to two recent graduates.

Hallie Walls is a graduate of East Webster High School and plans to attend Mississippi State University to study biological sciences. She plans to pursue a career in optometry. In high school, she was an honor roll student and Merit Scholar. She participated in high school cheerleading state competitions, honor guard, track and Beta Club. She also participated in and received awards for DECA.

Madison Clark is a graduate of East Webster High School and plans to attend Holmes Community College to pursue a career in pediatric nursing. She has completed a shadowing program at NMMC-Eupora and was a member of Beta Club, a Merit Scholar and an Honor Graduate.
The scholarships are awarded through the Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi to graduating high school seniors pursuing a health care career. Applicants are judged based on ACT score, high school transcript, extracurricular activities, personal statements, interviews and letters of recommendation.
“We are proud of these students and thankful that we can support them in their dreams of working in the medical field,” said Steven Blaylock, HCF president. “We look forward to seeing them grow into the next generation of health care heroes.”
