NMMC-Pontotoc Selects Kuykendall as Employee of the Year
Stanley Kuykendall named NMMC-Pontotoc’s Employee of the Year. The announcement was made during the annual National Healthcare Week celebration.
Stanley Kuykendall has been named North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc’s Employee of the Year. The announcement was made during the annual National Healthcare Week celebration.
Kuykendall serves as the patient and family liaison in Nursing Administration. He joined the hospital staff in July 2017. Prior to taking on the liaison role, he served on the NMMC-Pontotoc Patient and Family Advisory Council as a volunteer.
“Stan is vital to the hospital’s success. He has been more than willing to work together to find solutions to problems,” reads his nomination. “I think he is a true demonstration of teamwork and I’ve been impressed with his approach to building a relationship with the patients. His caring demeanor is evident in his actions.”
“Stan walks the talk with patient experience,” according to his nomination. “He is a mentor to others and holds them accountable for actions. Staff value his opinions and look to him for advice. Stan looks for opportunities to improve all aspects of care on our campus.”
Kuykendall attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and furthered his studies at the University of Mississippi. He has been an active member of the State of Mississippi Funeral Association for nine years.
Kuykendall’s family includes brother Jerry Kuykendall and his wife Diane (Tremont), two nieces: Beth Blanton (Tupelo) and Kim Koon (Pontotoc), two great nieces and one great nephew. He resides in Pontotoc County and attends Dumas United Methodist Church.
In his spare time, Kuykendall raises and trains Tennessee walking horses and enjoys various types of music, including Southern gospel, bluegrass and country.
