NMMC-Iuka Honors Goddard as Outstanding Employee
IUKA, Mississippi – Michelle Goddard, who works in Nursing Services at North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka, has been selected by her peers as the most recent Employee of the Quarter.
“She is always looking out for others and goes out of her way to offer help in any way she can,” wrote her coworker in nominating Michelle for the award.
Michelle fills multiple roles at NMMC-Iuka. In addition to serving as a nursing assistant, she is a unit coordinator and monitor tech.
“The job may be demanding, but the satisfaction from helping patients feel comfortable and loved can be rewarding,” Michelle said. “I consider the NMMC-Iuka staff family; it’s a great place to work.”
Michelle is quick to offer a smile and to respond to patients’ needs. “She extends compassion to everyone she makes contact with,” her colleague wrote.
Michelle’s health care career stretches across two decades. She graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville with an associate degree in 2000, earning certification as a medical assistant. She also completed her certified nursing assistant training through NEMCC. She joined the NMMC-Iuka staff in 2017.
She and her husband, Randy, have a son, Brantley. She attends Calvary Baptist Church in Belmont.
