IUKA, Miss.—Katie Crum, managerial assistant in Nursing Administration, has been selected by her peers as NMMC-Iuka’s most recent Employee of the Quarter.
Crum joined the hospital staff in 2016. A graduate of Tishomingo High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in English and professional writing from the University of North Alabama in Florence in 2009.
In her nomination, coworkers say Crum goes above and beyond in her job role. “Katie is always willing to help, and she is always courteous and humble,” coworkers wrote. “Katie asks if she can assist when multiple projects are ongoing. Such a team player! She consistently seeks opportunities to be of service to her team members.”
“The best part of my job is getting to help others in any and every way I can,” Crum says. “It has always been very important to me to try to improve the lives of everyone around me, even if only in some small way. Even a small act of kindness and generosity can make a large impact.”
She is married to Casey Crum and attends Kemp Chapel Baptist Church in Hamilton, Alabama.
