Misty Murphree, a radiologic technologist with Med Serve, has been selected as North Mississippi Medical Clinics’ most recent Employee of the Month.
TUPELO, Miss.—Misty Murphree, a radiologic technologist with Med Serve, has been selected as North Mississippi Medical Clinics’ most recent Employee of the Month.
Murphree joined the North Mississippi Medical Clinics staff in June 2015. She worked at West Tupelo Medical Clinic and Calhoun Medical Clinic before transferring to Med Serve in September 2020.
“Misty produces top notch work while not only doing her job but helping others. She is the epitome of what this organization’s mission and vision stand for,” a coworker wrote in her nomination. “People seek her out to help because they know she is going to give it her all, no matter how busy she may be.”
“Misty exemplifies all the characteristics and qualities of a true leader by always exhibiting a high level of compassion as she interacts with each individual,” another coworker wrote. “Her friendly, engaging smile is one of Misty’s natural features. Her integrity to always do the right thing even when no one is watching instills a lot of confidence.”
In her award nominations, Murphree was described as caring, energetic, consistent, compassionate, trustworthy and dependable. “Misty talks with her patients,” a coworker wrote. “She listens to their concerns and does what she can to make them comfortable.”
A graduate of Houston High School, Murphree holds two associate degrees from Itawamba Community College in Fulton. She is also trained in computed tomography (CT), laboratory science and Department of Transportation drug screens.
“The best part of my job is I get to work with some of the most amazing people,” Murphree said. “When I am not at my home clinic, Med Serve, I work at other clinics. I learn from those around me, making each day fun and exciting. Something is always different or new.”
Murphree says what she loves most about her job is getting to meet so many different people. “I love to talk, and not just to my coworkers, but to my patients,” she said. “I love listening and caring for each patient.”
She and her husband, Jeremy, have four children—Peyton, 19; Kaitlynn, 18; Alyssa, 14; and Reagan Brooke, 7. The family attends First Pentecostal Church in Houston.
