BALDWYN, Mississippi—Environmental Services technician Jamescilla “ Meme” Hastings has been selected as Baldwyn Nursing Facility’s most recent Employee of the Month.

Hastings joined North Mississippi Health Services more than nine years ago. In addition to working in Environmental Services, she also works as a certified nursing assistant and helps with COVID-19 testing. Co-workers say she is very passionate about her work and is always willing to help her team and the residents. 

“The best part of working at Baldwyn Nursing Facility is forming a bond with the residents,” Hastings says. “They hold a special place in my heart.” 

A Tupelo native, Hastings grew up in Baldwyn and graduated from Baldwyn High School. She and her husband, Joshua, have been married for nine years. She has two children, 13-year-old Hayleigh and 6-year-old Hayden.

She enjoys spending time with her family, photography and making T-shirts. Her family attends Mt. Zion Community Church in Guntown.
