Kristi Marie Slack, FNP

Kristi Slack, CFNP, earned her associate degree in nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence. She completed her master’s degree in nursing and completed nurse practitioner training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Kristi is certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has completed the Certification Program for Fracture Liaison Services (FLS).

Kristi’s role as a nurse practitioner aligns with her values of compassion, service and making a difference in the lives of others. “I enjoy being a part of health care because it constantly evolves, and I thrive on learning new treatments, technologies and approaches to health care,” she says.

Kristi values the teamwork and collaboration within NMHS. “Everyone is dedicated to the same goal--doing what is best for the patients,” she said. “That supportive environment makes me proud to be part of the team. Being part of a health care system that prioritizes patient well-being and community health gives me a strong sense of purpose.”

Outside of work, Kristi enjoys exploring new places and spending time with her husband, Scott, and their daughter, Anna. Her family’s favorite destination is Kauai, Hawaii.
