About Me
Curtis Glidewell, MD, is native of Alcorn County in north Mississippi, where he graduated from Kossuth High School. After graduating summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a degree in biomedical engineering, Dr. Glidewell attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his residency training at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, where he earned the honor of co-chief resident, alongside Dr. Justin Smith. Dr. Glidewell is board-certified in family medicine.
“I knew from an early age that I wanted to help people and what better way to do that than become a physician. As I grew more familiar with the medical field, I developed a love of family medicine, in that I can care for all ages and diseases,” he says. “That passion continues to this day as I look forward to developing a relationship with and helping each and every one of my patients.”
“Growing up in north Mississippi, you went to a North Mississippi Medical Center facility when you were sick and had to go to the hospital, no questions asked. The care provided by NMMC physicians, nurses and staff far exceeds, at least in my experience, the care provided by other facilities. So, naturally, when the opportunity came to become a part of that rich tradition of high quality healthcare, I was honored and excited to do so.”
Dr. Glidewell’s hobbies include “spending time with my wife and children. I also enjoy essentially all sporting events, but especially watching the Mississippi State Bulldogs.”

Connected Care Partners is a group of health care providers working for and with North Mississippi Health Services to improve patient care.
