Reconstructive Surgery
Breast hypertrophy or “macromastia” can cause symptomatic concerns including back pain, shoulder grooving and rashes under the breasts. Breast reduction surgery can decrease the volume and weight of the breast as well as lift the nipple to a more youthful position.

Breast cancer will impact one in eight women. Plastic surgery can help restore the feminine contour of the chest utilizing implants and/or tissue from the patient's body. Ideally, the first stage breast reconstruction will begin at the time of the mastectomy. Many techniques are available, and Dr. Googe will discuss available options and what would be best for your individual situation.

Nipple reconstruction and restoration of color is the final stage of breast reconstruction. It can be performed under local anesthesia in the office or combined with other procedures in the operating room.
Facial trauma can distort the natural appearance of the face. Dr. Googe can perform open reduction and fixation of facial fractures and repair or restore the soft tissue.
Peripheral nerve injuries can be devastating. Dr. Googe can repair injuries to the nerves of the arm, leg or face.
Acute trauma or complications of orthopedic surgery may require advanced reconstruction for salvage of the extremity. Dr. Googe can work with the orthopedic surgeon to provide soft tissue coverage of chronic or acute wounds with exposed bone or hardware.
