Medical Staff


Keith Box, D.O.: Received his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in Starkville, and his medical training from the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Kentucky. He completed his family medicine residency at the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center in Tupelo.



John Browning, M.D.: Received his bachelor’s degree in history and psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, and his master’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson and completed residency training at the North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Center in Tupelo.



Suzanne DePaulo, M.D.: Earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., and graduated from medical school at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2006. She completed an internship and residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base in California. Dr. DePaulo is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. She is a member of the Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Association.



Ned Miller, D.O.: Earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Mississippi State University in Starkville. He received his medical degree from the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg and completed residency training at the NMMC Family Medicine Residency Center in Tupelo.


Ronald E. Powell, D.O., a board-certified family practice physician, completed his medical training at Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine and his internship at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Michigan. In 2010, Dr. Powell received three-year recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)/American Diabetes Association (ADA) Diabetes Physician Recognition Program.

Robert Smith, Jr., D.O., received his bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the University of Mississippi. He completed his medical training at the University of Health Sciences, and his internship at University Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association. He has served as general medical officer for the United States Navy Reserve and as director of the Department of Aerospace Medicine for the Naval Hospital in Rota, Spain. After 10 years of service in the United States Navy Reserve he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Appointments on the family medicine side of the clinic may be made by calling (662) 494-8500 during office hours. Appointments may be requested with the health care provider of your choice. Every effort will be made to provide the earliest possible appointment for the convenience of the patient. Due to the unscheduled nature of emergencies, occasional delays do occur. We hope you will understand these delays are unavoidable.

We accept walk-in patients. However, walk-in patients will be worked into the schedule as time permits.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel as far in advance as possible. Another patient who can be booked into the open time will be grateful for your thoughtfulness.

We now have the ability to exchange secure online correspondence with our patients and keep your information up-to-date. If you have Internet access and sign up for this service, you will have the ability to do the following at your convenience:

· View your patient chart summary

· Request an appointment

· Request a medication refill

· View test results

· Change personal information

· Access forms

To access the service, you will register using a PIN (Personal Identification Number) that will be provided by our clinic staff to you in a personalized letter after a visit to our clinic. The PIN will expire in 30 days. If your PIN has expired before you access your account, please visit us in person to obtain a new PIN. To ensure patient confidentiality, we do not provide this information over the phone.
