Three Scholarships Promote Health Careers in Clay County

scholarship flyerClay County residents pursuing careers in health care can apply for three scholarships through North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point and the Health Care Foundation of North Mississippi.

In addition to high school seniors, adults who wish to change careers are also eligible for two of the scholarships. Applications for all three scholarships are due Friday, April 12.

  • The Rotary Club of West Point Scholarships are open to high school seniors preparing to enter college and adults residing in Clay County who seek health care careers. The scholarship was launched in 2023 by the Rotary Club of West Point and is administered by the Health Care Foundation.
  • The Dr. Ed Miller Memorial Scholarship is open to Clay County high school seniors preparing to enter college and Clay County residents currently in the workforce about to embark on a second career. The scholarship honors the late West Point internal medicine physician.
  • The Dr. Hiroji Noguchi Memorial Scholarship is open to graduating seniors from Clay County schools who are pursuing a career in health care. The scholarship honors the late West Point surgeon.

The scholarship applications require school transcripts and ACT score, three sealed letters of recommendation and an essay. More information is available at nmhs.net/scholarships.
