NMMC Celebrates Graduates of Internal Medicine Residency Program
TUPELO, Mississippi - North Mississippi Medical Center (NMMC) is proud to announce the graduation of the first class of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. The program, which began three years ago, has seen its inaugural group of residents successfully complete their training, marking a significant milestone for both the institution and the local medical community.
The Internal Medicine Residency Program at NMMC is dedicated to providing comprehensive training and education to future internal medicine physicians. The program is designed to equip residents with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to deliver high-quality care to patients in a variety of settings.
"We are thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of our inaugural class of internal medicine residents," said David Pizzimenti, DO, program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. "These graduates have demonstrated exceptional dedication, perseverance and passion for providing excellent patient care. We are confident that they will make meaningful contributions to the field of internal medicine as they embark on their professional careers."
The graduates have completed a rigorous and comprehensive training curriculum that includes hands-on clinical experience, academic coursework and scholarly activities. Throughout their residency, they have worked closely with experienced faculty and health care professionals, gaining valuable insights and expertise in the field of internal medicine.
"We are immensely proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our graduating residents," said Jeremy Blanchard, MD, chief medical officer at North Mississippi Health Services. "Their accomplishments reflect the dedication and excellence that define our residency program. We are excited to see them flourish as they begin their careers and positively impact the health and well-being of our community."
The graduation ceremony took place at Kingfisher Lodge in Tupelo on Thursday, June 6. This event was attended by esteemed faculty, staff, proud family members and distinguished guests.
