Long Named NMMC Chief Nurse Executive
TUPELO, Mississippi— North Mississippi Medical Center recently named Kristen Long, DNP, RN, as the hospital’s chief nurse executive.
Long began her nursing career at North Mississippi Medical Center in 2006 after earning her associate degree in nursing from Itawamba Community College. In 2010, she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence.
Long completed her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi in 2015 and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Samford University in 2022.
During her 18-year career with NMMC, Long has served in several nursing and leadership roles, most recently as associate chief nursing officer.
She is actively involved with Mississippi Nurses Association, where she serves as secretary and member of the House of Delegates and participates in the Legislative Nursing Summit and Lobby Day at the Capitol. She has presented at many local, regional, state and national conferences.
She and her husband, Nat, live in Fulton with their two children—Mason and Bella. They enjoy being outdoors, especially camping with extended family and friends.
