Baldwyn Nursing Facility Gears Up for Alzheimer’s Car Show & Summer Festival on June 1
BALDWYN, Mississippi – Baldwyn Nursing Facility will host its Alzheimer’s Car Show and Summer Festival on Saturday, June 1.
The event will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the grounds of Baldwyn Nursing Facility, located at 739 S. Fourth St. The entire community is invited to join the fun with the residents and staff. There is no charge for admission.
Baldwyn Nursing Facility has hosted events to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association for several years, but this is the third year the team has organized a community festival.
“Alzheimer’s disease and dementia affect the whole community, and we want to do our part,” said festival organizer Amanda Moore, Baldwyn Nursing Facility assistant director of nursing.
The family-friendly event will feature a car show, entertainment, baked goods, arts and crafts vendors, bouncy houses, face painting and concessions. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
The car show is open to cars, trucks and motorcycles. Registration for exhibitors begins at 7 a.m. The first 20 car show participants receive a free T-shirt. Awards are given for the top three vehicles.
