North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton Receives Five Stars from CMS

HAMILTON, Alabama—The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released updated star ratings, and North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton is the only hospital in Alabama to receive the coveted five star rating.

CMS annually assigns star ratings to hospitals nationwide based on their performance across five quality categories: safety of care, mortality, patient experience, readmission rates and timely and effective care. Data reporting periods range from July 2018 to March 2022, depending on the measure. Star ratings are publicly reported and can be found on the Hospital Compare website.

“This is a testament to our physicians and staff and their focus on quality and safety,” said hospital administrator Robin Mixon. “I am proud of our team for their ongoing efforts to consistently provide excellent care here in Hamilton.”
