NMMC Honors Morrison with DAISY Award

Katelyn MorrisonTUPELO, Mississippi— North Mississippi Medical Center has recognized Katelyn Morrison, CLPN, of the Resource Pool with a recent DAISY Award.

Morrison was nominated by a coworker for being a team player on an unusually busy day. She helped take patients’ vital signs, give baths and feed those who were unable to feed themselves.

A 2015 graduate of Brandon High School, Morrison completed licensed practical nurse training at Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2017. She is also certified to administer and read tuberculin (TB) skin test results. She joined the North Mississippi Health Services team in 2021 on 3 South before transferring to the Resource Pool.

Morrison received a certificate, a DAISY Award pin, a bouquet donated by Bishop’s Flower Shop and a hand-carved stone sculpture titled A Healer’s Touch. The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day.
