NMMC Honors Foster as Star of the Month

TUPELO, Mississippi—North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo named Care Coordinator Kearsee Foster as Star of the Month for May 2023.

Foster joined the NMMC-Tupelo team in 2015 after earning her master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama. In 2020, she obtained her license in Clinical Social Work.

“The best part about my job is working to create safe discharge plans for our patients,” Foster said. “My job is very fulfilling. Every day is different and presents different challenges but that's what makes it so wonderful."

Foster was nominated after helping a patient who was the victim of a recent tornado. This patient also lost her spouse in the storm and was faced with planning a funeral in the midst of dealing with her own injuries. Foster worked tirelessly with her to make sure that not only her rehabilitation needs would be met but also helped her to plan her spouse's funeral.
