NMMC Honors Boyd with BEE Award

TUPELO, Mississippi—North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo recently celebrated Nursing Assistant and Unit Coordinator Chloe Boyd with the BEE Award.

 Boyd joined the NMMC staff in early 2023 and was nominated for the award because she went above and beyond to provide some extra love to a long-term patient on 6 South. This patient had a special request for breakfast from Jack’s and after her shift ended, Boyd fulfilled his request. Not only did she pick up and deliver the special treat, but she stayed afterward to provide company while he ate.

 “This is what caregiving is about – building relationships and making a difference,” her nomination noted. “Although patients may not always be able to understand what's happening, they can feel what it means to have someone care about them.”
