Four Begin NMMC Pharmacy Residency

TUPELO, Mississippi—North Mississippi Medical Center recently welcomed four new pharmacy residents for 2023-2024.

Gabriella HarmonGabriella Harmon, PharmD, is from Columbiana, Alabama, and completed her undergraduate degree in microbiology from Mississippi State University. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Auburn University in 2023. Her clinical interests include infectious disease with a focus on antimicrobial stewardship.

Selena HernandezSelena Hernandez, PharmD, completed her pharmacy studies at Samford University in Birmingham, where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2023.  Her clinical interests include diabetes, adult medicine and critical care. 

Abderezak ShifaAbderezak Shifa, PharmD, completed a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Middle Tennessee State University and Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Tennessee in 2023. A native of Nashville, his clinical interests are infectious disease and cardiology.

Lindsey StoutLindsey Stout, PharmD, is an Oxford native and completed both her undergraduate and post-graduate pharmaceutical studies at the University of Mississippi. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2023. Her clinical interests include psychiatric, diabetes, pediatric and adult medicine.

Accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists in July 1994, the NMMC residency program now boasts 74 residency graduates.
