North Mississippi Medical Clinics Honor Howell as Star of the Month

HAMILTON, Alabama—North Mississippi Medical Clinics recently named Hamilton Primary Care Center Office Manager Ashley Howell as the Star of the Month. 

Howell joined Hamilton Primary Care Center in 2019. Prior to joining North Mississippi Health Services, she worked in other health care roles including as a dental hygienist and director for a clinical research program.

Howell’s teammates said she is a wonderful leader for the clinic. They described her as an upbeat, approachable manager who frequently lifts up the team and steps in to help the clinic run smoothly.

“She supports our physicians and staff members,” one of her colleagues wrote in nominating her. “In the eight years I have been working in family medicine, she is the best office manager I have ever had.”

Howell graduated from Hamilton High School. She earned an associate degree in dental hygiene from Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama.

“What I love about my job is helping those in need,” Howell said. “Health care is not just a career – it’s a calling. I am blessed to be able to work with a wonderful group of people who share that same passion every day.”

She and her husband, Steven, have two daughters, Kensley and Ella Kate. She attends First Baptist Church in Hamilton.
