Saturday Morning Injury Clinic Starts for Area Athlete

TUPELO, Miss.— North Mississippi Medical Center’s Sports Medicine Program and Orthopaedic Institute of North Mississippi will offer a free Saturday Morning Injury Clinic on Saturdays, Sept. 5-Nov. 7, for area varsity athletes who sustain sports-related injuries in the previous night’s game.
The free clinic is offered each year during football season. Athletes will be seen by a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, receive a free X-ray (if needed) and return-to-play plans initiated by a certified athletic trainer to get the athletes back to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.
The Saturday Morning Injury Clinic is held at Orthopaedic Institute of North Mississippi, 499 Gloster Creek Village, Suite G1. Athletes should report between 8:15-8:30 a.m. and are seen in order of arrival. Masks are required. Parents should attend with their child. Athletes with possible concussions should be evaluated in the Emergency Department on Friday night.
