North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton Names Employees of the Quarter
North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton recently named two Employees of the Quarter after taking a break from celebrations during the pandemic.
Chelsea McDonald, RN, has worked at North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton since 2014. She is a 2011 graduate of Marion County High School, and received her LPN training and associate degree in nursing from Bevill State Community College. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Walden University.
“What I love most about my job is my work family,” she says. “Everyone is very friendly and dependable. But, the best part is providing care for my community.”
Coworkers who nominated McDonald said that she is confident and compassionate. “She cares for her patients with that extra touch,” said one coworker. “She goes above and beyond every day to be sure all her patients receive quality care.”
Dara Williams, business office coordinator in the nursing home, joined the staff in 2014. She is a 1999 graduate of Hackelburg High School and received her associate degree from Bevill State Community College. She has also served as a certified nursing assistant at North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton.
“The best part of my job is talking with residents and their families,” she says. “Also, my coworkers make working here a blessing.”
Coworkers who nominated Williams say that she does everything with a smile and kind word. “She is willing to do whatever needs to be done to make sure our residents are taken care of every day. She works hard every day.
Williams has three children – Maddie, 19; Drew, 16; and Mason, 4. She attends Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hamilton.
The Employee of the Quarter honor recognizes employees with exemplary job performance and customer service skills, as well as community involvement.
