NMMC-West Point Recognizes Burke as Outstanding Employee

WEST POINT, Miss.—Burke joined the hospital staff in 2017. A graduate of Plainview High School in Rainsville, Alabama, he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2014 from Samford University in Birmingham.
“Luke makes certain the nurses have what they need. He speaks with the patients to make certain their home medications are correct,” coworkers wrote in Burke’s nomination. “Luke is very concerned with medication safety, always studying and looking for ways to improve the process.” He was cited for always being willing to help wherever needed, whether it involves moving furniture or filling an order.
“What I love most about my job is getting to work with an amazing health care team every day,” Burke said.
He and his wife, Jessica, have a son, Ramsey. The Burkes attend First United Methodist Church in Tupelo.
