NMMC-West Point Honors Snell as Employee of the Year

WEST POINT, Miss.—Jamie Snell, a systems technician with Facility Operations, has been selected by his peers as the most recent Employee of the Year at North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point.
A graduate of Oak Hill Academy in West Point, Snell earned a bachelor’s degree in management of construction and land development from Mississippi State University. He joined the NMMC-West Point staff in 2006. “The best part of my job is the people I work with,” Snell said.
In his nomination, coworkers wrote that he is an excellent mentor, coming in early or staying late whenever needed. Jamie takes time even when he is busy to smile and answer questions,” a coworker wrote. “He always shows respect to everyone.”
“Jamie demonstrates excellent customer service when working on patient rooms. He is kind and considerate to the patients’ needs,” his nomination states.
“Jamie is always kind to those requesting our help and he treats patients and their family members like they were his family,” a coworker wrote.
“Jamie helps our facility financially by trying to find the best prices for parts. Jamie prioritizes his work and thinks through tasks to be sure they are completed efficiently,” wrote another. “Jamie tries to use local vendors when possible. It is clear that he loves this hospital and is committed to making it a success in the community.”
