NMMC Home Health & Hospice Rolls out Vehicle Fleet
A new fleet of vehicles just hit the roads in north Mississippi.
North Mississippi Medical Center Home Health and Hospice recently introduced a new vehicle fleet with 19 new, locally-leased Nissan Versa vehicles provided by Enterprise Fleet Management.
While 19 sets of keys were handed out today, representing several different disciplines of Home Health and Hospice staff, there will ultimately be a total of 161 vehicles in the fleet.
NMMC Home Health and Hospice staff will use these vehicles to make home visits throughout the NMMC service area, which includes 17 counties in northeast Mississippi.
“The implementation of the fleet vehicles will provide a cost savings, but will also mean fewer miles and wear-and-tear on our employees’ personal cars,” said Kim Tutor, NMMC Home Health and Hospice director. “It also ensures that our employees have safe, reliable transportation for all the miles they are covering each day. We are looking forward to seeing our staff out representing our system while they provide excellent care to their patients.”
In addition to providing the vehicles, Enterprise provides vehicle registration and use reporting, as well as a fuel card program that automatically monitors fuel purchases and miles for each vehicle. Enterprise also will use local businesses to provide routine service and maintenance.
