Dream Riders Donate Items for the Wee Care Room at NMMC Women's Center
TUPELO, Miss.—Dream Riders Chapter C, represented by Kim Carter (from left) and Jessica Faulkner, recently donated items for the Wee Care Room, which helps parents with newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the North Mississippi Medical Center Women’s Hospital. Accepting the donation were registered nurses Sonya Bates and Amanda Robinson of the NICU.
“Dream Riders has been a constant source of support over the past several years,” says Christy Whitley, NICU social worker. “Not only are they one of our most frequent donors, they continually seek opportunities to give in other ways. They have donated Christmas gifts for our pediatric patients as well as infant and toddler clothes and newborn supplies for families in need. We are very grateful they continually choose our patients to serve.”
Donations for the NICU’s Wee Care Room are always appreciated. Requested items include snack crackers, chips, soft drinks, bottled water, ready-to-eat meals and microwave entrees, as well as travel-size hygiene items such as soap and shampoo. Items can be dropped off at the NMMC Women’s Hospital front desk at any time. For more information, call (662) 377-4924.
