Betty Jo McBrayer deems her first Virtual Video Visit with nurse practitioner Megan Williams of Pulmonary Consultants in Tupelo a success. Coming to the clinic wasn’t wise for the 80-year-old from Blue Springs who has several underlying medical conditions and is taking chemotherapy for cancer. She called the clinic and swapped to a virtual appointment, and her daughter-in-law Linda helped her get the smartphone set up. In a 15-minute call the nurse practitioner had reviewed her medications and addressed any issues she had been having. “Everything went very well. She could see me, and I could see her,” Betty Jo says. “I sure would do it again, and I would recommend it to anybody.”
