Biography
Dr. Elizabeth Tarsi is a board-certified OB-GYN with additional specialty training in the diagnosis, evaluation and management of pelvic floor disorders.
Dr. Tarsi received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Mississippi State University in 2011. She earned her medical degree from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson in 2017 and went on to complete her residency training in general OB-GYN at University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Following residency, she completed a three-year fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans in a combined urology and gynecology program for urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. She has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgical management of prolapse and incontinence, as well as many office-based treatments and procedures.
“From the beginning, I was drawn to health care as a form of advocacy and giving,” Dr. Tarsi says. “As my training continued, I developed a passion for guiding women, specifically, through difficult situations and caring for them at times when they often feel they are not heard.”
Dr. Tarsi cares for women with overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder pain, bowel control issues, vaginal atrophy and other complex pelvic disorders.
“I love interacting with people, hearing their stories and learning about what's important to them," Dr. Tarsi says. "Urogynecology is not a common specialty, so it will be fun introducing them to my field and all the possibilities for their pelvic health.”
